Winnie Mandela has selected her wardrobe for her visit to the White House with husband Nelson Mandela next week. Mrs. Mandela, accompanied by Joyce Dinkins, wife of New York Mayor David Dinkins, went to the showroom of Victoria Royal, a clothing firm that has dressed Barbara Bush, on Thursday and ended up choosing the first dress she tried on. The price was right, too. Owner Alan Sealove gave Mandela the beaded purple satin silk ball gown and a black evening suit in exchange for an autograph for his son, Brett, 14. She wrote: "To Brett, Thank you for your solidarity. Thank you for caring. We love you. South Africa will be free."
