Workers for the relief organization AmeriCares attach the American flag to pallets of food and medical supplies destined for Iran to help earthquake victims. The United States on Friday sent $300,000 worth of relief supplies to Iran through the American Red Cross and is planning more aid, State Department officials say. Several U.S. groups - including Catholic Relief Services and Americares as well as the Red Cross - say they are sending money or supplies to Iran.
