DEATH: LILLIAN HARKNESS RICH

Lillian Harkness Rich, age 73, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away June 22, 1990 in the Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah.

She was born July 24, 1916 in Magna, Utah to William Thomas and Silvea Annie Malmstrom Harkness. On January 17, 1934 she married Ellis Peter Rich in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Lillian was active in the LDS Church serving as Relief Society Secretary, Primary Secretary and taught Primary and Sunday School for many years. She served as P.T.A. President at the Sumner School and was a member of the Sharp Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Lillian loved to see her grandchildren perform and participate in sports and loved to sew. Lillian was a loving, kind and gentle person who will be missed by her family and friends.

Survivors: husband, Ellis P. Rich, Midvale; children, Donald E. Rich and wife, Audrey, Las Vegas, Nevada; Norman W. Rich and wife, Claudia, Lewiston, Idaho; Darlene R. Olson and husband, Laron, Midvale, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Grace Latham; brothers, Harold Harkness, John Harkness, Roland Harkness, Russell Harkness; sisters-in-law, Alice Harkness and Hazel Harkness. Preceded in death by a son, Wayne Milton Rich; brothers, Grant Harkness and Wallace Harkness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 26, 1990, at 12 Noon in the Midvale East LDS Stake Center 240 East 7570 South, Midvale. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Monday 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
