DEATH: AMOS REED TUCKER

Amos Reed Tucker, 79, died in a Salt Lake hospital June 22, 1990.

Born August 17, 1910 in Fairview to Annie Geneva Ecklund and Bryon Egbert Tucker. Married Alice Sophie Mills in the Manti LDS Temple June 29, 1938. After graduating from North Sampete High, he was employed in California for several years before returning to Utah, where he managed gas stations in Gunnison and later in Provo. His quick smile, ability to relate a humorous story, and willingness to help others, will be remembered for many years. He was active for many years in the Lions Club and community activities. He also served in numerous callings for the LDS Church.

Survived by wife, Salt Lake City; son and three daughters, Edwin R. Tucker, Highland; Mrs. Terry (Cherilyn) Powell, Salt Lake City; Mrs. James (Judy) Ware, Crystal Lakes, Ill.; Mrs. Lee (Kathee) Bird, Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, John E. Tucker; sister, Mrs. Anna Jensen; and Mrs. Fern Robertson, all Fairview.Funeral Tuesday, 11 a.m. with viewing at 9:30 prior. Burial, Fairview Cemetery under direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
