MARKETING FIRM GIVES 8 SENIORS SCHOLARSHIPS

Eight Utah high school seniors will split $4,800 in academic scholarships from their employer, Matrixx Marketing Inc.

Susan Harvey, human resources director for the Ogden-based company, said the computer-assisted telemarketing company wanted to send a message that they support their employees' education efforts.Scholarship recipients are:

Laura Lyn Campbell, Mountain View High School; Jamie D. Carlton, Roy High School; Kevin L. Cheney, Cottonwood High School; Michael David Cragun, Bonneville High School; Betty Ann Davidson, Roy High School; Jana Lee Horspool, Roy High School; Rebecca Jane Jones, Spanish Fork High School; and Judy Kimiko Nishimoto, Clearfield High School.

Matrixx Marketing Inc., a Cincinnati Bell company which operates telemarketing centers in Ogden, Salt Lake City, Provo, Cedar City and Detroit, opened the scholarship competition to graduating high school seniors.
