John F. Howard, an Ogden banker, was selected as best speaker in a Toastmaster's International speech competition in Vancouver, B.C. He will be a finalist in the 1990 World Championship of Public Speaking.
Howard's winning speech was titled "The Circle of Integrity." It discussed the importance of striving for personal honor and integrity - virtues Howard says are important for all humanity.More than 18,000 people entered this year's competition, which started in January. The final competition will bring together nine finalists from throughout the world for a face-to-face contest in Dallas.
