DEATH: GRANT A.L. JOHNSON

Grant Alfred Lee Johnson, 89, of Santaquin, died June 24, 1990 of heart failure.

He was born January 9, 1901 in Santaquin, Utah to Alfred Anstrum and Mary Christine Borgeson Johnson. He married LaVern Augusta Hellis, January 21, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died June 15, 1987. He was an active member of the LDS Church, formerly serving as a Stake High Councilor. He was a prominent Utah photographer, and spent many years illustrating visuals for many LDS Seminary instructional materials and extensively documented the inauguration of the LDS records vault and other LDS church events. He was a former member of the Tabernacle Choir and loved to play the violin in his youth.He is survived by one son and one daughter: Douglas G. Johnson, Orem; and Mrs. Kenneth Keele, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren and two great-grandchidren.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 1990, at Santaquin Stake Center, 90 South 200 East, Santaquin, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call Tuesday evening 7:30-9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 So. 300 East, Santaquin. Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
