IBM PHYSICIST WILL LECTURE AT USU NEXT WEEK

Richard Voss, an IBM physicist who uses computer graphics and music to create what Science News has called a "scientific Doug Henning show," will speak at Utah State University Monday through Friday, July 2-6.

Voss' lectures, titled "Fractal Geometry," are part of the Ralph M. Johnson Distinguished Guest Lecture Series. They will be presented at 11 a.m. in EC 106, the Engineering Auditorium. No lecture will be given Wednesday, July 4; an additional lecture is set at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3.The science lecture series, with the theme "Computers: Windows Into Science," will continue through July 20 with electrical engineer Kristina J. Johnson, who will talk about neurocomputers, and Michael L. Rhodes, who will discuss medical imaging.
