S.L. IS DUE FOR DOSE OF NOSTALGIA WITH THE LETTERMEN

Salt Lake concert fans are in for a dose of deja vu as the Lettermen come to town Friday to perform songs they etched into the subconscious of a generation nearly three decades ago.

Among the trio's most recognizable numbers are "The Way You Look Tonight," "Theme from `A Summer Place,' " "When I Fall in Love," "Put Your Head On My Shoulder," "Hurt So Bad," "Shangri-La" and the medley of "Goin' Out of My Head" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."The group's most recent album, in 1987, was "Why I Love Her" and a new live album is currently being produced. Their recent touring schedule has taken them all over America as well as Chile, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and other countries around the world.

The Lettermen will perform Friday in the Cottonwood High School auditorium in a special concert to benefit the school.

Tickets for the Lettermen are available through various Smith'sTix outlets.
