LAYTON TEACHER JOINS BILL OF RIGHTS PROGRAM

Claudia Collier-Seiter, chairman of the social studies department, Layton High School, has been named one of 12 members of a governing board for the Bill of Rights Education Collaborative Program.

The program is funded by the Pew Charitable Trust and is a joint effort of the American Historical Association and the American Political Science Association.Collier-Seiter and others will be involved in formulating guidelines for group competitions, will review and evaluate project proposals and direct professional development/inservice activities for teachers. Earlier this year, she was honored as Outstanding Secondary Social Studies Teach of the Year for Utah and as a Weber State Teacher Academy Fellow.
