Justin Sharp, 4, cradles a kitten found at the site of his grandmother's home, which was destroyed by a tornado Friday, in McCamey in southwest Texas. Two people were killed in separate traffic accidents caused by the twister as it crossed a road about 50 miles south of Midland. In Indiana Saturday night, a band of tornadoes killed at least seven people and injured at least 125 others. Gov. Evan Bayh declared a state of emergency and dispatched the Indiana National Guard to Bedford and Petersburg, the two hardest hit areas. Elsewhere, thunderstorms swept across Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin and Minnesota, knocking down trees, destroying barns and damaging homes. Crews from Marathon Oil Co. worked Saturday to stop the leak of poisonous hydrogen sulfide from several wellheads knocked open in Texas. No one was evacuated because of the gas leak since it was located in an isolated area.
