Two Clearfield children were injured when a bullet that one was holding over a gas stove flame exploded Sunday night, Clearfield police reported.

Lt. Steve Layton reported that Manely Nelson, 8, and his sister Bambi Nelson, 11, suffered cuts and lacerations when the .25-caliber bullet the boy was holding over the flame exploded about 8 p.m. Sunday at their home at 442 S. State.The two were admitted to Humana Hospital Davis North for treatment of their wounds.
