Delegates to the 202nd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) lifted more than 100 banners high in the warm June breeze and marched with friends, a bagpipe band and dancers Sunday afternoon in an Ecumenical Pentecost Processional. Participants walked from the First Presbyterian Church, 12 C Street, to the Salt Palace, where they were joined by a number of Utah's religious leaders in an ecumenical service. Afterward, a reception was held for the assembly's newly elected moderator, Price H. Gwynn III, an elder in the Steele Creek Church, Charlotte, N.C. An estimated 4,000 delegates from throughout the nation are in Salt Lake City for the assembly, which concludes Wednesday.
