Gov. and Mrs. Norm Bangerter will be special guests at the Utah Pageant of the Arts on opening night Monday, June 18.
Governor's Night will include a reception honoring Utah's first couple, immediately following the performance of the "living-pictures" production. Mayor R. Kay Hutchings and American Fork City will host the reception. In order to allow more local patrons to attend this special event, the pageant board of trustees has voted to grant a discount for the opening performance. Advance reservation tickets can be purchased at $2 off the regular prices of $12 for center section and $10 for side section seats.
Producing director David O. Brockbank said the 1990 show will offer 21 scenes, re-creating an array of tapestry, ceramic, sculpture, jewelry and paintings - all with live models.
The show will again be staged in the air-conditioned theater at American Fork High School, 510 N. Sixth East. The production runs nightly except Sundays and July 4 through July 21. Curtain time is 8 p.m.
Tickets can be ordered by phoning 756-3505 or coming in person to the box office at 54 E. Main, in the basement of the Senior Citizens Center. Visa and MasterCard charges are welcome.
