SkyWest Inc., parent company of SkyWest Airlines, has reported record revenues, net income and passengers carried for the year ended March 31, 1990.
Net income was $4.7 million, or 91 cents per share, both up 25 percent from the previous year. Operating revenues increased 18 percent to $99.7 million, and return on equity increased to 15.4 percent, the highest return for a full year as a publicly held company. Passengers carried exceeded 1 million for the first time in history, increasing to 1,031,353."Our mission this past year has been quality to our customers, our employees and to our shareholders," said Jerry Atkin, president of the regional airline. "Our focus on providing quality customer service has been a major contributing factor to our results this year. We look forward to reporting continued progress in the future."
SkyWest Airlines is the largest regional air carrier in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles and now provides service to 43 cities in eight Western states, flying as the Delta Connection.
