Two new McDonald's fast-food restaurants, at 3497 S. 5600 West, West Valley City, and 895 Fort Union Blvd., have opened for business and already are adding to the total of billions of hamburgers sold.
Beginning June 9, special activities will include the Ronald McDonald "McLots of Fun" show at 1 p.m. at the West Valley restaurant. During June, families can register for prizes including bicycles, children's birthday parties and Ronald McDonaldland dolls. Also, owner Chuck Sparrer is offering special June menu prices.The other store will hold the Ronald McDonald show between 10 a.m. and noon on June 9. There will be free prizes and balloons for children and owner Clark Stringham will have menu item specials in exchange for customer coupons in June.
The new restaurants bring to 49 the number of restaurants in the Intermountain McDonald's Cooperative Association, which includes Utah; Elko, Nev.; and Evanston, Wyo.
