The Wayne Brown Institute has extended to June 11 the deadline for submission of expanded executive summaries for "The 1990 Capital Resource Conference" that will be held Aug. 9 in the University Park Hotel.
"This extension gives people who have been out of town or who have been presenting at other conferences an opportunity to make a submission," said Brad Bertoch, institute executive director.During the conference, selected companies give presentations to an audience of venture capitalists with the idea of raising money to help their companies grow.
Between now and June 11, established and emerging companies can submit summaries for review by prominent investors and for possible presentation to investors.
Selecting the companies to make presentations during the conference will be Mark Kimmel, The Columbine Venture Funds (Colorado); Richard Shanaman, Utah Ventures; Jeffrey Schutz, Centennial Funds (Colorado); Norton Parker of Capital City Bank (Utah); Oren Phillips, Thiokol Corp.; James R. Morgan, Dialogic Systems Corp. (California); Warren King, Alta Industries Ltd (Utah); and B. Allen Lay, Southern California Ventures.
Bertoch said companies in various industries and stages of development will be considered for presentation. The panel will select the most promising ideas, which should have high growth potential, meaning the company should be doing $15 million in sales in 7-10 years.
