Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Leon Emrazian, age 72, died June 4, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born July 22, 1917, in Aleppo, Syria, to Sarkis and Zarouhie Bardakjian Emrazian. Married Melva Hindoian, November 9, 1952, in Aleppo, Syria. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, in 1980. True to his Armenian heritage, he was hard working and honest in all his dealings with others. Completed his schooling in Aleppo, Syria. He was a Master Tailor at an early age. Was very accomplished in designing and tailoring women's clothing. With much sacrifice, he brought his family and talent to the United States in 1966. Became a U.S. Citizen in 1973. Convert to the LDS Church in 1979, was a High Priest and served as a home teacher. Our Baba's exemplary life of dedication to his family and loved ones will be with us always.
Survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; children, Sarkis and Mary Jane Emrazian, West Valley City; Vahe and Loleta Emrazian, Salt Lake City; Lena and Hagop Arslanian, West Valley City; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Krikor Emrazian, Beirut, Lebanon; Yervant Emrazian, Aleppo, Syria; and many nieces and nephews in the Middle East. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Artin Emrazian and Hagop Emrazian; and a sister, Lucine.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8th, 1 pm, 21st Ward, 680 East 2nd Avenue. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Thursday, 7-8 pm, and at the Ward, Friday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
