Dean Mecham passed away June 3, 1990 in a Bountiful care center.
Born in Wallsburg, Wasatch County Utah August 9, 1901 to George F. Mecham and Ida Viola Boren. Married Annie Robinson April 24, 1925 in the Salt Lake Temple. Served in many capacities in LDS Church including 11 years as ordinance worker with his wife in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked 22 years for U.P. railroad and 18 years for Ogden General Depot. After retiring, he worked as a school crossing guard.
He is survived by his wife of Bountiful; five daughers and one son, Florence Miller of Yucaipa, CA., Margaret Levie, Lake Havasu City, AZ; Barbara Edwards, Kaysville; Doris Peterson, Ida Robinson, and Donald Mecham, all of Bountiful; three sisters, Erma Hansen, Norma Smith, Lorna Backus, one brother Wess D. Mecham; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 7, 1990, 1 p.m. in the Bountiful 10th - 27th Ward Chapel, 1145 North 200 East, where friends may call from 11:30 to 12:45 prior to the services. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery.
