A fire caused about $19,000 in damage to a West Valley home and a fold-out trailer.
No one was injured in the blaze that occurred at 4924 W. Cherrywood Lane shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, said West Valley Fire Chief Stan Varney. The fire started in a fold-out tent-trailer next to the house before spreading to the exterior and roof of the building. No one was at the home during the fire and neighbors notified emergency officials.
Eight firefighters from two stations with three large pieces of equipment responded, putting the fire out in about 10 minutes.
Officials still are investigating the cause of the blaze, but there are no suspicious circumstances suspected, Varney said.
The trailer received $4,000 in damage and the home about $15,000, the chief said.
