BOUNTIFUL MAN ENTERS GUILTY PLEA

A Bountiful man charged with vehicle homicide in connection with the Jan. 23 death of a Holladay woman has pleaded guilty to the charge.

Thomas J. Whatcott, 26, pleaded guilty to vehicle homicide Monday in 3rd District Court. Court documents said he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.13 percent when he was involved in a four-car accident on 900 East near 1840 South.During the accident, his northbound truck struck a southbound vehicle driven by William C. Kamp, whose wife, Cleo C. Kamp, 77, was killed.

Third District Judge Leonard Russon will sentence Whatcott on July 16 at 2 p.m.
