Mary Duke Hansen Breinholt, 89, of Salt Lake City, passed away at a local hospital.

Born May 5, 1901 in Park City, Utah, to Arthur E. and Nettie Duke Hansen. She attended BYU Normal School. She married Verdi Gleave Brienholt, September 7, 1928 in Provo, Utah. She was secretary and retired from a local insurance company.

She is survived by a daughter, Madelyn Wormald, and two sons, Bill and Peggy Breinholt, and Kenneth Breinholt, all Salt Lake; two sisters, Virginia Davis, Salt Lake; Zoe Johnson, Phoenix, Arizona; sister in law, Mayme Hansen, Salt Lake. She is also survived by four grandsons, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Richard (Pat) V. Breinholt, and a grandson. She was a member of the Duaghters of Utah Pioneers, LDS Relief Society, Women's Democratic Club and the Democratic Party. She also attended a private ladies club. She contributed kindly to local and national charities. She enjoyed gardening and singing and was an avid Jazz basketball fan. "We will miss you dearly".

Services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 1990, 12 noon, at the Garden Park Ward Bldg., 1150 East Yale (1080 So.) Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 So., Salt Lake City, and one hour prior to services at the ward. Interment will take place at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
