A 2nd District Court jury took about an hour Tuesday to find an Ogden man not guilty of assaulting a 20-month-old child.
Joseph W. Dorosky, 22, was on trial for a third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault. He still faces three other felony charges of witness tampering and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.Second District Judge Stanton Taylor, who presided over the aggravated assault trial, said that the attorneys will get together on Thursday to set new trial dates on the other charges.
Dorosky was arrested on Dec. 16 after his girlfriend, Tina Dade, told police he shoved a blanket in front of her son's face after the child started crying and woke up Dorosky.
She later reported that she received threatening telephone calls from Dorosky while he was in jail.
