SHARE INSURANCE EXAMINER APPOINTED

Billy Lovelady has been appointed chief examiner in the Utah Insurance Department's Examination Division, replacing Hyrum S. Gentner who held the position since Aug. 23, 1986.

Lovelady has 29 years of experience as an insurance examiner, 14 of which were spent with the Texas and Idaho insurance departments. Since joining the department, Insurance Commissioner Harold C. Yancey said Lovelady has earned the professional designations of certified financial examiner from the Society of Financial Examiners and certified insurance examiner from the Insurance Regulatory Examination Society.Gentner leaves the department after 41 years in insurance, 17 of which were spent with the agency as a field examiner, supervisor of the Company Solvency/Surveillance Division and chief examiner.

Lovelady will begin his new position July 12.
