A three-car accident Monday night resulted in possible neck and back injuries for members of a family, including a 3-month-old baby.

However, all three family members suffered only minor injuries and were released from Pioneer Valley Hospital, said Utah Highway Patrol trooper Robert Skinner. The accident occured along I-215 near 3100 South during bumper-to-bumper rush hour traffic when a male driver glanced down at his car seat and initiated a domino effect by bumping into a compact car in front of him. The compact car, which was occupied by the family, then bumped into a station wagon. An estimated total of $2,000 in damage was done to the three vehicles, Skinner said.
