Larzette Hale, retiring head of the School of Accountancy at Utah State University, has been named Outstanding Educator of the Year by the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA).
The award was given at the annual meeting of UACPA.Hale has been head of USU's School of Accountancy since 1978 and has been on the faculty since 1972. She sponsored a chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, national accounting fraternity, and the chapter has received the national Superior Chapter Award for the past 13 years.
She is active in several professional organizations including the American Institute of CPAs, the Woman's Society of CPAs for which she was national president in 1984-85, and Beta Alpha Psi accounting fraternity. She is now national president of Beta Alpha Psi.
