Jo McNeil, age 75, died July 7, 1990 in Salt Lake City.
She was born June 24, 1915 in Buffalo, New York to Everett and Minifred Gohn Winner. In 1937 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee. She married Crichton McNeil, M.D., September 20, 1941. He died March 11, 1986. Member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was a lifelong, generous financial supporter of medical missionary work in Africa in addition to serving in the missionary field with her husband in Africa. She was a volunteer at Rescue Mission. Active in Medical Auxiliary, bowling, golf, Ladies Literary Club and Photochrome Club. She traveled extensively playing contract bridge.Survived by two sons and a daughter, Paul E. McNeil, Worland, Wyoming; Douglas C. McNeil, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Tom (Becky) Saunders, Whitefish, Montana; grandchildren, Kelly and Kristi; twin sister, Victoria Petrie, Clermont, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 14th, 11 a.m., Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 2350 E. 1300 South. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the United Methodist Church Missionary Fund.
