Four new stakes have been created - two in Peru and two in Mexico.
Elder Hartman Rector Jr. of the Seventy created the Huanuco Peru Stake, which has 2,931 members in the Amarilis, La Alameda, Paucarbamba, Pedro Puelles, and Tarapaca wards and the Ambo branch.Elder F. Melvin Hammond of the Seventy formed the Piura Peru Castilla Stake with 2,537 members in the Catacaos, Chiclayanito, Corpac, Miraflores, and Norte wards, and the Chulucanas, La Union, and Tacala branches.
Elder Robert E. Wells of the Seventy created the Mexico City Mexico Culturas and the Merida Mexico Itzimna stakes. The new stake in Mexico City has 1,500 members in the Culturas, Hacienda, Loma Hermosa, Molinito, and Tezozomoc wards and the Chamapa branch.
The new stake in Merida, Mexico, includes the Garcia Gineres, Itzimna, Motul 1st and Tanlum wards, and the Baca, Chuburna, Kini, Motul 2nd, Pensiones, Progreso, and Telchak branches.
Elsewhere, stakes were reorganized in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Piura, Peru; Richmond, Utah; and in Merida and Mexico City, Mexico.

Counselors - LeRoy Glenn Parkinson, 54, employed at Utah Power & Light, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, and Young Men president, married Donetta Leonhardt; Donald Norman Sadler, 45, general contractor, former high councilor, bishop's counselor, and priest quorum adviser, married Jacklyn Wallace.
