SHARE U.S. BASKETBALL TEAM MAKES FINAL CUTS

The team that will represent the United States in the Goodwill Games and the World basketball championships was made final Saturday when coach Mike Krzyzewski of Duke cut Kevin Lynch of Minnesota and Chris Mills of Arizona.

The cuts left the team with 14 players, led by Billy Owens of Syracuse, Kenny Anderson of Georgia Tech, Todd Day of Arkansas and Alonzo Mourning of Georgetown. It also includes two of Krzyzewski's Duke players, Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley.Others who made the final cut are Chris Gatling of Old Dominion, Lee Mayberry of Arkansas, Mark Randall of Kansas, Chris Smith of Connecticut, Doug Smith of Missouri, Bryant Stith of Virginina, Clarence Weatherspoon of Southern Mississippi and Henry Williams of North Carolina-Charlotte.
