Edward George Rahan, age 70, died July 16, 1990 in Panquitch, Utah; of congestive heart and lung disease.
Born December 5, 1919 in Salt Lake to George S. and Lillian M. Bott Rahan. Married Lois Johnson, later divorced. Married Mary Elizabeth (Bette) Anderson, March 17, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Rahan was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He graduated from the University of Utah in business administration. He worked for the R.J. Reynolds Co. for 28 years; retiring in 1975. He has resided in Washington, Utah for the past seven years. Mr. Rahan was a member of the Salt Lake Wasatch Presbyterian Church and dual member of the St. George Community Baptist Church. Mr. Rahan was a World War II veteran and a member of the Salt Lake American Legion. Mr. Rahan was a member of the Salt Lake and St. George Elks Lodge and attended many Dixie College educational courses. Mr. Rahan loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and he enjoyed traveling.Survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Bette) Rahan, Washington, Utah; two daughters, Margo Rahan and Connie Rosenbury, both Salt Lake City, Utah; mother, Lillian M. Bott Rahan, Salt Lake City; three grandchildren, Ronald Rosenburg, Melissa Rennemann, Solim Gasparik; one great-grandchild, Brittany Rennemann. Stepchildren, Dennis Lyons; Jim Lyons; Lori Lyons, Mrs. William (Lisa) Holmes.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah. Graveside service and interment will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
