Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dale Floyd Mahoney, age 70, died July 18, 1990 at home in Salt Lake City from complications resulting from Alzheimer's Disease.

Born July 14, 1920 at Lake Creek, Wasatch County, Utah to Louris V. and Mary Crook Mahoney. Married Lucile Buell, September 10, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in World War II in the Army infantry in Belgium and Germany. Graduated from the University of Utah in 1949 with a business degree. Did accounting and tax work for many years. Retired from the Department of Employment Security after 30-1/2 years as field auditor. Enjoyed sports, especially golf. Served as secretary-treasurer for DES Golf Association many years. High Priest in Grandview 2nd Ward where he has served in Cub Scouts, athletics, and as Ward membership clerk many years. He was a very gentle person and loved little children.Survived by wife; sons, Kenneth L. (wife Melinda) Phoenix, Arizona; Keith D., Kevin R., both Salt Lake City; daughters, Cheryl (husband Craig L. Elggren) Mesa Arizona; Carolyn Mahoney (to be married to John D. Prickett), Redlands, California; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Carl E. (Afton) Anderson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Glenna Lloyd; brother, Neil K. Mahoney, both Heber City, Utah. Preceded in death by parents and a brother, Grant.

Funeral services Friday, July 20th, at 1 p.m., Grandview 2nd Ward, 2930 South 2000 East, where friends may call beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Heber City Cemetery at 3:15 p.m., under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
