SHARE LIBRARY BRANCHES TO SHOW CLASSIC DISNEY MOVIES

Four classic animated movies from Walt Disney will be featured by the Salt Lake City Library System's Chapman and Rose Park branches in August.

"Bambi" heads the list and will be shown Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at Chapman, 577 S. 900 West, and 2 p.m. at Rose Park, 1185 W. 1000 North.The same time schedule is set for "Peter Pan" on Friday, Aug. 10, "Cinderella" on Friday Aug. 17, and "The Little Mermaid" on Friday, Aug. 24.

Other August activities include:

- Preschool Storytime for youngsters ages 3-5. Storytime will be offered on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Rose Park; on Wednesdays at the 10 a.m. at the Main Library, 209 E. 500 South; 10:30 a.m. at the Avenues Branch, 455 F St.; 11:30 a.m. at the Sprague Branch, 2131 S. 1100 East; and on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. at both the Anderson Branch, 1135 S. 2100 East, and the Chapman branch.

- The Summer Story Festival will feature library staff members spinning tales for patrons. The storytellers will visit Anderson Branch on Saturday, Aug. 4, 10:30 a.m.; the Sprague Branch on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 7 p.m.; the Main Library on Monday, Aug. 13, 7 p.m.; the Avenues Branch on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2 p.m.; and the Rose Park Branch, Monday, Aug. 20, 7 p.m.

- On Friday, Aug. 31, a photography exhibit by George Janecek, Kent Rich and Martin Zwick will kick off a two-month stay at the Atrium Gallery on the third floor of the Main Library. The exhibit, which runs through Oct. 2, is titled "Variations on a Theme: Photographing the Utah Symphony."
