Elva Jane Dyet Halvorsen, age 82, died July 18,1990 in Salt Lake City.
Born September 9, 1907 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of William and Cecil Rose Butler Dyet. Married Edward B. Wall; deceased. Married Warren Robertson; deceased. Married Leland W. Halvorsen, July 10, 1964. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1989. Active member, LDS Church, serving as a teacher in all women's organizations and as ward and stake YWMIA president in Provo. Served a stake mission in the Park Stake. She and Leland served an Illinois-Nauvoo full-time mission. Active member, Daughters of Utah Pioneers; served as captain for several years. Employed at the Salt Lake Temple for twelve-and-a-half years; supervised Family Records. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she loved being with them. She was an accomplished seamstress, musician and artist. She met life's challenges with faith and courage and was a great example. "Mom, we love you and will miss you."Survivors: son and wife, Lyle "Bud" and Maxine Wall, St. George, Utah; daughter-in-law, LaRue Wall Frenette, Bountiful, Utah; grandchildren, Dallin B. Wall, Scott W. Wall, Kathleen Wall Smith and Wendy Wall Brown; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son, Cecil B. Wall; two brothers and a sister, Lawrence, Clifford, and Stella Price.
Funeral service Saturday, July 21st, at 12 noon, Eagle Gate 2nd Ward, 135 A Street, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
