Three people died and two more were seriously injured over the weekend in separate traffic accidents near the central Utah town of Fillmore.

The victims include:Gerald Webb, 62, Payson.

Maximo Davila Cardenas, Lomitas, Calif.

Cardenas was killed about 5:15 p.m. Saturday when the car he was riding in rolled about 5 miles north of Fillmore on I-15.

Cardenas and Alfredo Beltran, both of Lomitas, Calif., were hitchhiking near Fillmore when they were picked up by Greg Brown, 27, Salt Lake City. About 10 miles later, Brown's car struck a vehicle parked in the emergency lane, causing Brown's car to roll five times.

Beltran and Brown were airlifted to Salt Lake hospitals where they were in serious condition Monday.

Saunders, an infant, was being buckled into his car seat when the car drifted off the road and rolled, ejecting the child from the car. He was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at Fillmore Community Medical Hospital.

Neither the victim's parents or a 1 1/2-year-old sister were seriously injured.
