Margaret Peterson has gained membership in what until recently has been an all-boys club: the board of directors of the Salt Lake County Water Conservancy District.
Peterson, also a member of the West Valley City Council, has been appointed by Gov. Norm Bangerter to a four-year term on the district's board of directors. She succeeds Vern Breeze, who plans to move to southern Utah.Thomas Forsgren, a vice president of Utah Power & Light Co., was appointed to complete the unexpired term of board member Val Finlayson. The term expires in 1993.
Both appointments have been confirmed by the Utah Senate. The Senate also confirmed Glen Cannon's second term on the conservancy district's board, which will expire 1994.
The Utah Senate also reappointed Gerald Maloney to the Central Utah Water Conservancy District's board of directors.
Salt Lake builder Gary Palmer was named to CUP's board of directors, replacing Nick Sefakis, director of the Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake City. Both appointments expire in 1994.
