Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They became the parents of two sons and one daughter. His children who survive him are Larry D. Worthington and his wife, Pat, Elvin L. Worthington and his wife, Edie, and Juanita K. Sadler and her husband, Keith; one brother, Marvin L. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Joan Nunley Worthington, his brother, Dale Worthington, two infant brothers, and one infant sister.

He loved the world we live in. The mountains, the canyons and the deserts gave him great joy. But his greatest joy came from seeing and loving "the little ones". Twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren were tickled and loved by Grandpa.
