Lloyd Reynold Olsen, age 79, died Saturday, July 21, 1990 at the Brigham City Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1911 in Brigham City; a son of James Peter and Laura Hansen Andersen Olsen. He married Eula Jacobson on December 20, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church, and had served as Elder's Quorum President and Secretary, High Priest Group Leader, Treasurer of the Brigham City Genealogical Library for 17 years, Cub Scout Master and served for 20 years as a General Genealogical Research worker in the Salt Lake Temple.He served with the Civil Conservation Corp. on the Hurricane Franklin Basin, Medical Supply clerk at Bushnell General Hospital, plant manager for Horsley Seed & Feed for many years prior to retirement, and was also a fruit grower. He was a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife of Brigham City; three sons and one daughter, Sheldon L. Olsen, Brigham City; Clare J. Olsen, Brigham City; Ritchie D. Olsen, Ogden; and Annette Olsen of Brigham City; seven grandchildren; three brothers, James I. Olsen, Salt Lake City; John M. Olsen, Provo; V. Grant Olsen, Midway, Utah. He is preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, four half -sisters and six half-brothers.
Services will be held Saturday, July 28th, 12 noon, in the 10th Ward LDS Chapel, 145 West 500 South, Brigham City. Friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 So., Brigham City. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
