Jay Martin Bone, 73, died July 26, 1990, at his home in Santa Clara.

Born August 18, 1916, in Layton, Utah, to Delbert Francis and Myra Martin Bone. Married Vera Coulam, September 8, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Reared and educated in Salt Lake City. Graduated from West High School. Veteran World War II. Lived in Cottonwood area of Salt Lake City, until he moved to St. George. Jay was a scouter, having received the Silver Beaver Award. Active member LDS Church. Temple worker.Survivors: wife, Vera, Santa Clara; nine children, Mrs. John (Donna Mae) Witzel, Arizona; Mrs. Robert (Claudia Jayne) Fisher, Naperville, Illinois; Mrs. Dale (JoAnne) Rydman, Santa Clara; Frank Coulam Bone, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Orson P. (Veralynn) Brown, Washington; Jay Steven Bone, Kearns; Mrs. David E. (Beverlee Jeanne) Whipple, Hyrum; Mrs. Steven (Debra Ruth) Gull, Washington; Richard Delbert Bone, Ivins; 53 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Jerry (Ruth L.) Bolman, Linwood, Washington. Preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Bone and Dorothy Burton.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 28, 1990, 2 p.m., Santa Clara Third Ward Chapel. Graveside services Monday, 10 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Spilsbury-Desert Rose Memorial Chapel, St. George, Utah.
