Alma Virgil Decker, age 85, died July 26, 1990 at his home.

Born December 30, 1904 at Taylor, Arizona, to Louis A. and Achsah Mae Hatch Decker. Married Rosalind E. Reeves, May 24, 1933 in the SL LDS Temple. Alma was active in the LDS Church throughout his life and served as bishop in Beaver, Utah. He was a lifetime member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. He worked for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service and Bureau of Land Management in Southern Utah and Winnemucca, Nevada, until he received a medical retirement for arthritis in 1959.He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dean A. Decker, Salt Lake City; Wayne R. Decker, Ogden; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Kathleen) Olsen, Highland, Utah; Mrs. Lowell (Elizabeth) Beckman, Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl H. Decker, Oakland, California; J. Smith Decker, Mesa, Arizona. He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 Noon, July 30, 1990 in the Grandview Ward Chapel, 2930 South 20th East. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
