Spencer W. Young, age 85, passed away July 27, 1990 of Health problems incident to age.

He was born March 3, 1905 in Park City, Utah to Edwin S. and Nancy Wilkins Young. He married Marian Althea Clark of Coalville, Utah, on August 12, 1924 in Salt Lake City; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the 32nd Ward in Salt Lake City. He worked in highway construction as a heavy equipment operator for more than 45 years in the Park City and Salt Lake areas. He was a long time resident of Park City.. An avid outdoorsman, he spent his leisure time hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He enjoyed bowling and was active until his health failed him.He is survived by his wife, Marian; a sister, Virginia Street, Salt Lake City; brothers, Robert of Tucson, Arizon; and Ralph of Neavada City, Calif.; immediate family members, Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Shirlee) Ranson, of Overland Mo.; Mrs. Gaye E. Pearson; Mr. Max W. Young; Mr. and Mrs. Francis (Yvonne) Brunyer; Mr. and Mrs. Gail E. (Eileen) Young, all Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Don (Ruth) Gray, of Pocatello, Idaho; and Mr. and Mrs. LaMar (Sandra) Atkinson, of Layton; 32 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 1990, at 11 a.m., in the Russon Brothers Mortuary Chapel, 255 South 200 East, where friends may call Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m., at the Wanship City Cemetery.
