Irmgard Lydia Eckardt, age 83, died July 30, 1990 at home of causes incident to age.
Born July 2, 1907 in Hamburg, Germany to Gustav and Antonie Hoffmann. Married Heinz W. Eckardt September 20, 1932 in Hamburg. Marriage later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. Preceeded in death by husband, brother.Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, baptized 1923. Her strong testimony sustained her during the war years and subsequently. Very active, served as Relief Society President and active in numerous callings. Served a full-time mission to Seattle 1978-1979.
Survived by children: Ronald, Portland; Heidi and Kay, Salt Lake City; Ray and Irene Goff, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her companions, Flora Engle and Nina Lee Naef.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 1990 at 12 noon in the Monument Park 3rd Ward (2215 Roosevelt Ave.) Friends may call Thursday 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the ward. Interment, Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers.
