Leedrow C. Anderson, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on July 5, 1990, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Leedrow was born April 8, 1918, in Mayfield, Utah, a son of Neils Christian Andrson and Minnie Elizabeth Jensen. Leedrow married Vergie Nelson, November 22, 1940 in the Manti Temple. Lee was raised in Mayfield and graduated, the only boy to successfully complete high school out of 16, from Manti High. He went on to receive a degree in welding from Utah Technical College in Provo. He was employed by U & I Sugar Company as a welder and sugar boiler for over 30 years. Leedrow loved the simple things in life, working in his yard, fishing, hunting, and being useful to his friends and family. He enjoyed music and had a passion for good books.He was ordained to the position of High Priest in the Garland 3rd Ward, where he and his wife, Vergie, were active members.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lawrence and Darrell Anderson. Also one son, Charles Lee Anderson.
Leedrow is survived by his wife, Vergie, residing still in their home in Garland; daughter, Pamela (Anderson) Smith and husband, Roger and their two children, of Brigham City; son, Stephen C. and wife, Lynnette Anderson and their three children of Salt Lake City, and daughter, Vergalee Anderson Stevenson and husband, Klint, of Kearns; one sister, Sena Jacobson Herron of Tooele.
He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9th at Garland LDS Chapel at 11 a.m. Friends and relatives may call at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home in Tremonton the morning of the services from 9 to 10:30 to pay their respects to the family. Graveside services will be held in Mayfield, Utah, between 5 and 6 p.m. of the same day.
