Calvin Dean Agar, 62, died July 8, 1990 in a Salt Lake hospital after a short illness.

Born November 4, 1927 in Langden, North Dakota to Ernest and Delia Kiland Agar. Married Mavis Anderson October 24, 1953 in Langden, North Dakota. Member Lutheran Church. Iron worker for American Bridge and Iron. Veteran WW II. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.Survived by wife, Mavis; children, Julie Mattson; Shane, Billie, Michael, Diane Dinger, Kim Searle, Jan, and Pattie; all West Valley City; nine grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ernest J.; Betty Michelson; Fern Spaniar, all Langden, N.D.; Warren, Billings, Mont.; Joyce Hansen, Rapid City, S.D.; Arnold Kiland, Sardis, British Columbia. Preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn.

Funeral services 1 a.m., Wednesday, at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior Wednesday, Interment, Veterans Cemetery, Camp Williams. Friends will be received at the home of Kim Searle, 4312 South 4000 West, following the service.
