Albert Giezendanner, loving husband and eternal companion, father, grandfather, brother and friend, returned to his Heavenly Father, August 18, 1990 after a difficult battle with cancer.

Born January 2, 1925 in Wattwil, Switzerland, a son of Jakob Giezendanner and Elizabeth Mettler. Albert married Jeana Kay Hilleshiem, December 11, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served an LDS Mission to Vienna, Austria. Albert immigrated to the Utah Valley in 1961. There he used his skills and talent as a cabinetmaker for Fetzer's, Inc. He held many church positions and loved reading and studying scriptures. He loved the simple things in life, and helping family and friends with compassion. He sang in the Swiss Chorus, Edelweiss. He was ordained to the position of High Priest in the Mountain View 3rd Ward, where he and his wife were active members.Albert is survived by his wife, Jeana; daughter, Alice and husband, David Wetzel and their child, Jessica; daughter, Esther, son, Richard Stamm, all Salt Lake City; also two sisters, Lieseli Abderhalden and Clara Baal, both of Switzerland.

He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m., at the Mountain View 3rd Ward, 1889 So. 1700 East, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral Directors: Memorial Estates Mortuary. Please send flowers to the church.
