The mobilization of thousands of American troops to counter Iraqi aggression in the Middle East has upended summer vacations, weddings and now a Nevada political campaign.
Marine reserve officer James Gallaway, a Republican candidate for governor, was called to serve with his unit in Arlington, Va."Right now, I should be able to come back the night of Aug. 28 if no bullets are fired," said Gallaway, a colonel. A reservist for 23 years, Gallaway reasoned, "This is what you practice for."
