The Uintah Basin and Brown's Park will be the destination of a Sept. 17-19 history tour sponsored by the Utah State Historical Society and American Heritage Tours.

Dr. Craig Fuller, an authority on the history of the Uintah Basin, will conduct the tour, which will examine early Spanish explorers, the fur trade, settlement, Indian relations, water development and other aspects of the area's history.The tour includes visits to Vernal, Flaming Gorge, Brown's and Rainbow parks and Dinosaur National Monument, McConkie Ranch, Dry Fork petroglyphs, two nights lodging, three meals, transportation and entrance fees.
