Glen Andrew Allred, 54, of Manti, died August 20, 1990 in Provo, Utah, of injuries sustained in a logging accident.

Born December 12, 1935 in Manti, to Gennis Pratt and Edna Mellor Allred. Married Karma Jean Christensen, October 7, 1955, Manti LDS Temple. He was an insurance salesman for 27 years in the Sanpete area. Livestockman and farmer. Member of the Manti First LDS Ward. Served as Second Counselor in the Manti Utah Stake Presidency. Past Bishop of the Manti First LDS Ward. He is past Executive Secretary for the Manti Stake. Past Quorum Elders President. At the time of his death was a High Priest Group Leader. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. Received 1988 Centennial Year Distinguished Alumni Award from Snow College. Served in U.S. armed forces 1955-57.Survived by his wife, Karma, Manti; son and daughter, Steven G. and wife, Sydney; Mrs. Lew (Kathy) Haslam, Salt Lake City; father, Gennis and stepmother, Gladys Allred, Manti; four grandchildren; brother, Blaine, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by his mother, Edna and one sister, Margee Allred.

Funeral Services Saturday, 11 a.m. Manti Stake Center. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Manti Tabernacle and Saturday at the Stake Center, two hours prior to services. Interment: Manti City Cemetery with Military Honors. Funeral Directors: Buchanan Mortuary.
