Spencer Snow, age 88, died August 22, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born April 30, 1902, in Pine Valley, Utah, to Frank and Effie Harrison Snow. Married Esther Horsley, June 30, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. High Priest in the Monument Park 12th Ward. Dr. Snow's early career include a general medicine practice in Cedar City, a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital, Philadelphia, Penn., and instructor's position at Children's Hospital San Francisco. He returned to Salt Lake City in 1938 to practice pediatrics. During his 40-years career in Salt Lake City, Dr. Snow was President of the LDS Hospital staff, Primary Children's Medical Center staff and Intermountain Pediatric Society, which honored him in 1976. The former Utah chairman of the American Academy of Pediatrics also worked with the White House Conference on Children during the Eisenhower Administration.Survived by his wife; one son and two daughters, John Spencer, Sondra Snow, all of Salt Lake City; Cynthia Powell, Spokane, Washington; five grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie Snow, St. George, Utah; and Virginia Lockett, Covina, California. Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27th, 12 Noon, Monument Park 12th Ward, 2795 East Crestview Drive (1000 South). Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Sunday, 6-8 p.m., and at the Ward Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions be made to the Primary Childrens Medical Center, 100 N. Medical Dr. SLC 84112 or charity of choice.
