Singer Janet Jackson collapsed during a concert in St. Louis and was treated at a hospital and released, officials said Monday.

The singer had finished her third song Sunday when she went backstage and passed out, said her publicist, Maureen O'Connor. She said Jackson collapsed and was taken to the emergency room at Barnes Hospital for tests. She was released about two hours later, a hospital spokeswoman said. The hospital did not release the nature of Jackson's illness.

O'Connor said Jackson has been on the road for several months and was exhausted.
