Ivy Louise Lloyd Redford Sorensen Palmer, in her 100th year, died Friday, August 3, 1990 at the Beverly Manor Convalescent Hospital, San Diego, California of causes incident to age. Family members were present.

Born March 24, 1891 in Mt. Sterling (Wellsville), Ut to Robert Eckersall Redford and Sarah Susannah Stone Lloyd, she was the 7th and last surviving of 12 children.Married October 30, 1017 to James Christian Sorensen; later divorced. Married August 18, 1933 to Roswell Potter Palmer, sealed November 16, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and faithfully taught it to her children. IN her youth she taught MIA and Sunday School classes, and sang in several choirs. She was a faithful member of the Relief Society.

Survived by daughters, Mrs. Jesse N. (Dorlue) Gross and Mrs. Walter A. (Helen) Brinkley, of southern California; Mrs. Lee F. (Lapreel) Arnoldus, of Maryland; sons, Hugh J. Sorensen, of Southern California; 28 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A view and family service was held at Greenwood Mortuary in San Diego, Calif on Monday, August 6.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 1990, at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in the Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
